I must multi-task and stay connected.

The Internet is better than TV; it’s more entertaining and less restrictive. (In the U.S., TV watching is down, and Internet use is up.) Internet lets you do a multitude of things simultaneously—email, instant messaging, studying, research, music, etc. It lets you have many “windows” open at once. both on your monitor and in your mind! The Internet is centered on interactivity and offers a convenient gateway for socializing. This multitasking, nonlinear approach sits in severe contrast to our lineal, lecture-driven college learning environment.
