Technology is a natural part of life. The Millenials have life-long experience with common technological advancements such as VCRs, DVDs, TiVo, cellphones, PCs, laptops, Web, email, blogs, and iPods. These things are not “luxuries” nor are they “new technologies;” to Millenials; they are a part of everyday life. Their nonchalant attitude toward technology can be unnerving to folks from previous generations, and it may contribute to a pervasive feeling among Millenials that schools are “way behind” in using technology.
